Shantell Martin - Follow the Pen

Artist Shantell Martin draws stream-of-consciousness drawings on walls, cars, shoes, shirts, motorcycle helmets, pianos and more, often in front of live audiences. Her goal: Make and share visuals that are recognizably hers.
Martin explains her process and her visual language of line drawings, influenced by her experience as an avant-garde live-performance artist in Japan, in the 2013 profile by The New Yorker. (source)

*What studio in this art room would Shantell Martin use to best express her ideas?
*What life events changed the size/scale of her drawings?
*What does she use to "direct people where to look"?
*Martin uses mainly pen and paint pens to create lines, watch closely, what other medium does she use to draw?

"I come to a drawing with intention, a good intention to make something work"
-Shantell Martin

*It takes a lot of practice and experience for it to "just work"!

*Think about how you might store this inspiration in your creativity bank account?
